Foundations of the Gospel
The Old Testament Revelation
Where does the Gospel actually begin? Many believe the “Good News” starts in Matthew, but the Apostle Paul tells a different story. In 1 Corinthians 15, when Paul defines the Gospel—that Christ died, was buried, and rose again—he anchors every point in one phrase: “According to the Scriptures.”
When Paul wrote those words, the New Testament hadn’t been fully penned. He was talking about the Old Testament.
In Foundations of the Gospel, Missionary-on-Call Larry Stamm takes you back to the “Root” to see that the Gospel isn’t a “New Plan,” but the fulfillment of a breathtaking, seamless story that God has been telling since the beginning.
The Root: The Whole Counsel of God
In our ministry’s Symmetry model, you cannot have the “Fruit” of the New Testament without the “Root” of the Old. This pamphlet is designed to move your understanding of Jesus from a “fragmented” view into High Definition.
- The Fulfillment: Discover how Jesus didn’t come to abolish the Law and the Prophets, but to bring them into vivid, living color.
- The High Definition View: Learn to see the Gospel “according to the Scriptures”—the way the Apostles themselves preached it.
- The Result: Build a foundation that is unshakable, grounded in the historical and providential reality of God’s Word.
Equipping the Biblical Student:
- The “Seed”: A high-impact study tool for anyone who wants to understand the “Why” behind the “What” of the Gospel.
- Kingdom Impact: Perfect for sharing with friends who think the Old Testament is “irrelevant” to modern faith.
