A Description of our Equipping Events
SUNDAY SCHOOL: TESTIMONY TALK OPTION
Larry shares his journey as a Messianic Jew and a second-generation Holocaust survivor. As "living epistles" (2 Corinthians 3:2), our personal stories reflect the Lord through the fruit of the Spirit and serve as a vital part of our Christian witness. Larry will discuss his journey to faith as a Jewish believer in Jesus and a minister of the Gospel, addressing the complexities of family rejection and cultural stigma. This event often includes a Q&A session. Our hope is that this time will powerfully impact both Jewish and Gentile seekers, as we follow the exhortation in 1 Peter 3:15 to "always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.” Larry looks forward to sharing how His saving grace has transformed his life.
MESSAGE FROM THE WORD
Larry possesses a unique gift for unveiling the truth of the Gospel from any book of the Bible or passage from Scripture. In his preaching, Larry demonstrates the Bible's profound relevance to our modern culture and provides a deeper understanding of God’s redemptive plan for humanity As a Jewish missionary to the Church, Larry offers a fresh and vital perspective on the Scriptures. Having grown up celebrating the Feasts of Israel, he provides vivid insights into how Jesus fulfilled these traditions and used the Old Testament to authenticate His claims as the Messiah. Our goal is to help your members deepen their roots in the Hebrew foundations of their faith so they can bear lasting fruit in their daily walk, Larry’s messages are designed to move your congregation to becoming confident witnesses. We aim to inspire every believer to share their faith more boldly and effectively. We would welcome the opportunity to partner with you. If you are interested in scheduling Larry to share a message that will inspire and equip your congregation, please let us know. We look forward to the possibility of serving with you.
CHRIST IN THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES
This sermonic demonstration is designed to enrich your congregation’s understanding of the Gospel by exploring the Jewish roots of the Christian faith. This 45-minute presentation uses visual aids to illustrate how Jesus fulfilled the Festival of Sukkot. Larry will explain both the traditional and Christological significance of the holiday, providing deep context for Jesus’ claims to be the Light of the World and the provider of Living Water. By highlighting how Jesus used this feast to reveal His nature and mission, the program offers believers an intimate look at the rituals observed by Christ and His disciples.
Furthermore, Christ in the Feast of Tabernacles includes a sensitive presentation of the Gospel, making it an excellent opportunity to invite seekers and friends from all backgrounds to your church. The program is specifically designed to fit within a standard worship service and can be abbreviated if necessary to meet your scheduling needs.
Exploring these biblical festivals is a powerful way to teach people of all ages how Jesus fulfills the Hebrew Scriptures. As John 1:14 reminds us, "the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us"—He is the ultimate fulfillment of God "tabernacling" with His people.
CHRIST IN THE PASSOVER
Christ in the Passover is a powerful visual demonstration that explores the history and symbolism of the traditional Passover Seder in light of Jesus’ coming as the Passover Lamb. By weaving together the story of the Exodus with the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus, this presentation brings the events of the Upper Room to life.
Larry is available to facilitate one of three unique experiences for your community:
- Passover Seder demonstration
- Passover Seder demonstration with communion
- Passover Seder banquet
Christ in the Passover offers a meaningful opportunity to share the gospel with Jewish family, friends, and coworkers. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of how the ancient Festival of Redemption points to the Messiah and discover the significant link between the Seder and the practice of Communion.
Whether for a church service, chapel, life group, Bible study, or a private gathering in your home, these events serve to help us remember His death in its proper context. As we take the bread and cup, we identify ourselves as redeemed individuals and declare God’s gracious inclusion of us in His redemptive plan.
PERSONAL EVANGELISM SEMINAR
In today's culture, many of us wonder how to effectively live out the Great Commission. This seminar is designed to provide you with unique insights and practical tools to help you more confidently engage in the personal evangelism process in your everyday life.
Understanding the "what" and the "why" of our Christian beliefs is essential for standing firm in our faith. This seminar can be offered as a one or two day church conference and includes how to:
- Understand the gospel message and God’s heart for the lost.
- Develop critical thinking skills to navigate the evangelistic process.
- Learn the essential biblical principles that drive effective witness.
- Equip themselves with specific answers to common objections raised by unbelievers.
Whether you are already bold in your faith or are just wondering how to start sharing the gospel, this session will help you gain confidence in articulating your beliefs. The principle-based Personal Evangelism Seminar covers vital topics such as initiating witnessing conversations, overcoming fear, sharing your personal testimony, and answering objections to Jesus.
JEWISH ROOTS OF CHRISTIANITY SEMINAR
This seminar offers a unique opportunity to explore how Judaism and Christianity, while seemingly distinct, share a common history, story, and Messianic hope. By discovering the origins of the Christian faith and its grounding in the Old Testament Scriptures, you will gain a deeper understanding of the Bible as a single, unified narrative.
Led by Larry Stamm, a Jewish follower of Jesus, this seminar will trace the redemptive-historical thread of the Bible from Genesis to Jesus. Participants will see how the New Testament reveals what was concealed in the Old, providing a clearer view of God’s sovereign plan of grace.
Throughout this course, you will:
- Learn the foundations of the gospel as communicated in the Old Testament.
- Understand how the Feasts of Israel point to the redemptive work of Jesus Christ.
- Strengthen your faith and witness through the study of Messianic Prophecy.
- Expand your inductive Bible study skills.
We would be honored to have you join us as we venture into these foundational truths to strengthen your faith and biblical understanding.
PURIM
The book of Esther contains one of the most significant victories for the Jewish people against antisemitic persecution. A victory for the Jewish people is a victory for all people against racism, and the message of Purim brings this ancient account into a relevant, modern perspective. Had the Jewish people been annihilated by the hand of Haman, the Messiah could not have fulfilled the prophecies regarding His coming.
The Jewish feast of Purim is a powerful story that reminds us that God often moves behind the scenes. Even when His name is hidden, His hand is at work. In this study of the cultural observance of Purim, you will be inspired by the witness of Esther and Mordecai, learn about the origins of antisemitic hatred through the wicked Haman, and rejoice in God's mighty deliverance.
This narrative echoes the perennial challenges Israel faces. Just as God preserved His people in Esther’s day, He continues to sustain them because He has a future plan for Israel. Furthermore, learning about Purim provides a natural opening for Gospel conversations. Discussions about divine providence and hope in hopeless situations point others toward the One who gave His life for the salvation of the world.
HANUKKAH
Birthed out of the tumultuous Intertestamental Period, Hanukkah is a key celebration in the Jewish tradition. While many Christians may be unfamiliar with this holiday, it offers a significant opportunity to discover the roots of the Festival of Lights and its current significance to the Jewish people. This presentation is more than a historical lesson; it is a call to let your light shine before men (Matthew 5:16). We invite you to allow us to shed light on this tradition and explore what believers can learn from it today.
NEWNESS OF PENTECOST
Most believers are familiar with Pentecost as part of the historical church calendar, yet many know little about its deeper significance as the Feast of Weeks, or Shavuot. Larry offers a Biblically based message for your congregation on the historical importance of this Jewish celebration and its profound relevance to believers today. As the second of the three harvest feasts, Shavuot celebrates the giving of the Law to Israel at Mount Sinai (Exodus 19-24). More than a thousand years later, God poured out His Spirit upon the apostles on this same holy day (Acts 2:1-41), making it the birthday of the Church. This message focuses on the inclusion of both Jew and Gentile as one people of God, providing strong encouragement for Christians today.
